Pre-treatment preparation
Rory is on the acute list for surgery at Starship tomorrow morning to put a port in his chest to deliver chemotherapy, which will begin on Wednesday. The treatment Rory will receive over the next nine months will knock out any fertility which remains following the intensive treatment in 2009. We do not know his level of fertility, we were waiting to have it tested after he turned 18. We can’t wait any longer. A sample was sent in this morning. If there is anything viable we will have it preserved in case he wants it in future.
